Edward Compton ran the village Post Office and bakery in the mid nineteenth century.

Benjamin and Ann Martin were tenants of Mellersh Farm.
William More-Molyneux (pdf).
William was the son of George More-Molyneux, rector of Compton for nearly fifty years in the nineteenth century.
Thwaites - John & Henrietta (pdf).
John Thwaites, a clockmaker from Clerkenwell, and his wife Henrietta had a house in Compton.
Williams - Thomas, Charles, Ann (pdf).
Thomas and Charles were brothers who both worked as messengers in the House of Commons.
